Katrina Kaif tasted immense fame after her movie ‘New York’ touched the success skies. Now since her career status has got the boost, the foreign chori is careful in picking the movies offers.

Next, Katrina will be seen in the prestigious character of Sonia Gandhi in Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’. It would be interesting to see this arm-candy in a serious role for once. The movie is said to deal with the political scenario. She said to sources, “I’m the only girl with top male actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Manoj Bajpai, Nana Patekar and Arjun Rampal. It is a performance oriented film for me and that’s the way I would ideally like most of my future films to be.”

Well, now one would think that she will bid away to her usual sweet looking roles. But Katrina also has Priyadarshan’s ‘De Dana Dan’. It is said that she signed on the dotted line of this one only for her friend Akshay Kumar. Kat and Akki have given several good films together before and so she agreed to do the movie which is under the actor’s home production. She said, “Akshay is a friend and I could never refuse. When I learnt De Dana Dan is Akshay’s home production I said yes without hesitation.” A birdie said that the movie comprises of 22 actors and the director had termed it as his most complex movie till now!
